Our Technology

At Vision Source we believe in utilizing the latest technology to provide the most advanced eye examination possible.

Here are a few of the advanced instruments we utilize:

Computer Assisted Refraction

With this automation our Clinic Associates can gather 20 diagnostic metrics about your eyes in less than 1o seconds per eye.

The doctor then can use this information electronically to refine your prescription and easily show you the difference between your old and new prescription.

No Air-Puff Tonometry

The iCare tonometer is a device that can easily measure accurate pressure in your eyes without the uncomfortable puff of air that you might have had done in the past.

We are always looking at ways to improve the patient experience!

Automated Visual Field Testing

Visual field testing can be used to detect a wide variety of vision problems. It is most commonly used to help detect and treat glaucoma.

Electrodiagnostic Testing

Electrophysiology vision tests are painless, non-invasive, and provide your doctor with comprehensive information on the function of your vision.

This can be helpful in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological related conditions including multiple sclerosis, medication side effects, diabetes, glaucoma, amblyopia, and more.

Automated Macular Degeneration Testing

With this new test we can detect macular degeneration three years earlier than any noticeable signs. This allows us better visual outcomes for patients that suffer from this common eye condition.

Automated Pupil Testing

Automated pupil testing is extremely helpful in diagnosing neurological problems with the eyes. It can detects abnormalities not otherwise possible.

Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT)

OCT testing is used daily to image the inside of the eye. It has become crucial in treating glaucoma and diagnosing retinal abnormalities.

Automated Color Contrast Testing

Color vision and contrast sensitivity are important functions of the visual system, which are affected by many eye conditions. Testing this in detail gives us added information on how conditions are affecting your functional vision and to help determine if your conditions are worsening.

Digital Slit Lamp Photography

Our microscopes not only give us clear images of your eyes they can also use the power of apple to take videos and pictures to document your exam.

B-Scan and A-Scan

We use the power of ultrasound to image things that can normally not be seen. This is important when there is trauma to the eye or cataracts. Also to image malignancies.

Pachymetry

Pachymetry checks the thickness of the corneal which important for glaucoma testing, corneal conditions, and seeing if you are a good candidate for refractive surgery.
